Recently, the South-South Cooperation Skills Development Network Project under the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the training activity for Cambodian trainees in Zhejiang were launched at Zhejiang Institute of Construction Technicians, opening the prelude to in-depth cooperation between China and Cambodia in the field of construction skills.
On July 31, as an important part of this series of activities, a visiting delegation consisting of Heang BUN, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, Kongveasna KHIEV, technical expert, Pary TOP and Phoeun BO, vice deans of Pursat Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Tian Feng, Project Manager of "China Cooperation Program" of the International Labour Organization, and Zhang Guohua, Vice President of Zhejiang Institute of Construction Technicians, visited Fontan Robotics for inspection and exchange. Zhang Ke, co-founder of Fontan Robotics, and Xu Anpeng, Chief Technical Officer, received them warmly and accompanied them throughout the exchange. Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as the implementation and application of construction robot projects and the construction of professional talent training systems.
First, the delegation visited the exhibition hall of Fontan Robotics, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company's development history, core technology R&D path and series of product matrices. From coating construction products to digital management systems, the delegation members highly affirmed Fontan's practical achievements in continuously upgrading technologies and improving product performance in actual project applications.
During the discussion session, Zhang Ke, co-founder of Fontan Robotics, systematically introduced the company's pioneering practices in the field of integration of production and education. By analyzing the implementation effects of construction robots in construction scenarios and the connection mechanism between technological R&D and market demands, the participating guests gained a clearer understanding of aspects such as the professional talent needs of industry enterprises, the current development status and future trends of construction robot technology, and the key nodes in professional talent training at the current stage.
Subsequently, Xu Anpeng, Chief Technology Officer of Fontan Robotics, supplemented the introduction of the technical system and differentiated technical advantages of construction robots. He emphasized that the popularization of construction robots not only requires technological breakthroughs, but also needs to build a talent training and management system adapted to intelligent construction, a view that was widely recognized by the delegation.
Heang BUN, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia, stated during the exchange that with the accelerated iteration of global intelligent construction technologies, Cambodia's traditional construction industry is facing an urgent need for transformation and upgrading towards digitalization and intelligentization, and construction robots have gradually become a key force in promoting the high-quality development of the industry. He clearly expressed his willingness to cooperate, welcoming Fontan Robotics to enter Cambodia and establish cooperative mechanisms with relevant Cambodian institutions to jointly promote the improvement of local construction intelligentization.
This exchange activity has deeply aligned with Cambodia's needs for the transformation of its construction industry and talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for both parties to carry out substantive cooperation in the future. Taking this exchange as an opportunity, Fontan Robotics will continue to deepen technological innovation in construction robots and practices of integrating production and education, actively expand international cooperation space, and help improve the intelligent level of the construction industry in countries along the "Belt and Road" by exporting mature technical solutions and talent training models.
