Hangzhou Fulltime Robotics Co., Ltd. ("Fulltime Robotics") has exceeded 1 million square meters of coating construction area within just two years, thanks to its professional indoor coating engineering robot solutions. This milestone not only marks a major breakthrough in market and technology but also reflects the company's continuous product polishing in real-world project applications.

01

Original Aspiration and Challenges: Practices of the First Prototype

It all started with a simple idea – using robot technology to improve the inefficiency and inconsistent quality of traditional coating construction.
After the first prototype was developed, Fulltime Robotics chose the China Construction Third Engineering Bureau's Hangzhou North Vientiane City project for pilot testing to verify product functions and processes. An experienced worker suggested: "As long as the first layer of putty reaches 2mm and the 灰水比 (gray water ratio) is adjusted to the right proportion, the second layer can be manually leveled to ensure construction quality."

Key Improvement: Through repeated experiments, the R&D team determined that a gray water ratio of 1:0.6 was optimal. This improvement not only verified the initial feasibility of the product but also laid the foundation for subsequent optimizations.

Challenges in Engineering Application: Testing Ground for Stability Enhancement

With the basic functions of the first-generation robot realized, Fulltime Robotics shifted its focus to improving product stability.
Li Zike led the team to the Zhongyifeng Yangtze River Delta International R&D Community Phase II project, which required 72,000 square meters of basement putty and latex paint construction. Such a large-scale task posed severe challenges to product performance.
"Remember it was February, the temperature was near zero, and I stepped into ice-cold water, losing feeling in my foot. I persisted the whole day," Li recalled. "Our engineers, after testing, didn't rest but started modifying code on a stool on-site. It was tough, but such a large-scale application opportunity was precious for product improvement."

Operational Milestone: A worker named Zhou took the initiative to challenge completing 1,000 m² in one day with one robot, and he succeeded. "I never thought one person could do so much in a day," he said proudly.

Industry Recognition: The successful application of spraying robots attracted visits and recognition from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, 21 provincial housing authorities, and 24 pilot city authorities.

From Domestic to International: Breakthroughs in Full-Automatic Spraying

  • Domestic Breakthrough: In the Baoding Chuangzhi Cloud Valley project, Fulltime Robotics achieved full-automatic ceiling spraying. With the combination of "1 robot + 1 operator + 1 assistant for material mixing," the per capita efficiency reached 500-600 m²/day, 5 times higher than traditional construction.
  • International Expansion: The first international client was from Singapore's Bishan HDB project. As local materials weren't available in China, engineers carried 100 jin (50 kg) of putty from Singapore for testing. "The client was moved by our dedication and often suggested improvements to help us iterate the product."
    • In less than a year, the Dengjia New Town C8 project in Singapore showcased a stunning full-automatic version, achieving whole-house automated spraying for residential projects at 180 m²/hour.

    • By late 2024, the third-generation 3.2m model achieved a test speed of 270 m²/hour, exciting the client even more than the Fulltime team.

  • International Recognition: The Deputy Director of Singapore's Building and Construction Authority visited the Dengjia New Town C8 project multiple times, praising Fulltime Robotics for its dedication to product performance and technological innovation.

"When asked about the significance of this milestone, Li Zike emotionally said: 'It's not just a number for business growth but a process of continuously verifying and polishing products with our clients. The process of carefully refining products is really cool, especially when gaining recognition from clients and all parties – it inspires us to 'root ourselves in product quality'."
